AFTER A SHOOTING OUTSIDE THE LAST HOME GAME. BECCAH HENDRICKSON REPORTS. BECCAH: THE BOARD APPROVED FUNDING BUT THERE WAS CONCERN ABOUT ADDING MORE ARMED GUARDS TO THE STADIUM. UNDER THE NEW PLAN, YORK CITY POLICE OFFICERS WILL PATROL THE PARKING LOT AND STADIUM DURING FOOTBALL GAMES. I DON’T BELIEVE IN BRINGING MORE>>GUNS INTO THE SITUATION. BECCAH: SMALLS FIELD WENT INTO LOCKDOWN DURING THE SCHOOL’S LAST HOME GAME AFTER A SHOOTING OUTSIDE THE STADIUM. CENTER DOT’S AND SAID THE DISTRICT NEEDS TO TREAD CAREFULLY IN TODAY’S CLIMATE. HOW WILL THE PEOPLE IN THE>>PUBLIC BE TREATED? AND ARE THEY MILITARIZED? THE SUPERINTENDENT MADE THE DECISION TO MOVE HOME GAMES TO SATURDAYS WHICH MEANS NO MORE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. BUT, HE SAYS, THEY’LL RECONSIDER NEXT YEAR.
