[Weather] S. Korea gripped by bitterly cold snap, but milder temperatures by weekend

it’s freezing outside so let’s switch
things up and start with the weather this morning it’s been the coldest day
of the season so far with the mercury taking a huge dip
overnight so let’s go straight over to our Lee jeehyun at the Weather Center
now ji-hyun normally we send you out on days like this just to touch you a
little bit so you must be delighted to be nice and warm in our toastie Weather
Center good morning mark yes I surely am and thank you
well I hope your morning commute was not too bad as you mentioned many parts of
the country had the coldest morning temperatures of the season so far and
cold wave advisories are in place for many North’s and eastern regions with
readings down 5 to 10 degrees Celsius compared to yesterday
but this cold front should not last too long readings will jump once the Sun is
full up in the sky and highs will rise above the freezing mark this afternoon
and despite the cold sunny skies would dominate all day today however the air
is getting drier dry weather alerts are in place in many regions including here
in the capital so do apply moisturizer and drink plenty of water the cosna will
ease on saturday and fairly bearable temperatures are on tap for the weekend
tomorrow a spacer meaning big snow according to traditional calendar
potential regions will only see mix of light rain and snow tomorrow next week
temperatures will be around or even above the season norms so don’t worry
this cold snap should not be around for too long and that’s all the weather
update for now
