  1. When it comes to ‘appearance journalism’, my standards are
    so high, I will not watch several New York nationally network based local mixed
    gender news teams, the male’s hair has been youth dyed, the female’s been
    greasy lipped, and trashy haired, as a means of conversion to higher ratings,
    and a more favorable standard in the minds of true professional journalists,
    those not already convinced of television’s puff and fluff, that has taken hold
    of this industry and its newly found roots in show-business. But wait, there is
    life at the end of this tunnel, at some local stations one can find at least
    one naturally gray-haired anchor standing as rock against this continuing
    marketing trend.
