Soccer – Throw Ins : The Wall Pass Strategy for Throw Ins in Soccer

The next strategy I want to talk about is
kind of like the wall pass. The wall pass is a give and go. Someone takes the ball and
passes it directly back to the person who gave them the ball. On a throw-in this would
be good when you’re around the middle of the field and everyone is covered and everybody
is covered and the space is really tight. He doesn’t have a chance to turn with the
ball and have some space to work with. What he is going to do is give it right back to
me and now I have the space and he’s going to make a move. Basically I’m going to throw
it to his foot, and he’s just going to come and tap it right back to me. And then boom,
I’m right here where I was and I have all the options. I’ve got him, I’ve got the person
down the line, I’ve got the person in the middle, and if somebody comes and tries to
take the ball from me, they’re letting free one of my teammates so I can pass to them.
So basically we can do it as a drop as well and then he can just get it right back up
the line.
