Soccer Passing Drills | Train By YOURSELF while others slack off!

Soccer Passing Drills | Train By YOURSELF while others slack off!
ArticlesBlog

I recently did a video on soccer passing
drills and in that video they’re a bunch of drills but they were all soccer passing drills that
you did with partners and some of them were in twos some of f them were in threes
but I had a lot of people ask me how do i do soccer passing drills or how do I
improved my passing skills if I don’t have anyone to practice with so today
I’m going to show you exactly how you can improve your passing but also your
first touch also your speed a play which are very important pieces of your game
that I think are overlooked way too often ok today you’re gonna learn how to
improve all those areas so stay all the way to the end of this video because
although I’m showing you soccer passing drills there are other things I want you to focus on
so you can actually apply the practice that you’re putting in onto the field to make
you a better player let’s get into it so before we get into
the actual soccer passing drills that I want you to practice to improve your passing skills
I want to talk about a couple of very important things so first of all is
quality of your passes and what I mean by that is.. it’s easier to see when you’re
passing with a teammate but by yourself even if I want to pick a spot so maybe I
pick a line on the wall and I try to hit that line or like a little dent in the
wall is spot on the wall and I tried to hit every time a lot of us were too
comfortable with making passes that are ok but they’re not good enough the higher level
you get at the more important and more precise your passes need to be we
need to put pace on your passes add pace to it you cant be soft
like that if it’s weak its gonna get cut outs gonna get intercepted you need pace on your passes we also
need accuracy on your pass is very important so for example if I was like
passing to my teammate instead of just passing it to him I want to pass to
either to his right foot left foot I want to pass it into this space
here in front of him to encourage him to go that way or I want to pass it to this
space behind him because the defenders on that side ok so think about having a little more
quality and precision with your passing don’t just pass it over there hit it at the wall ok think about the exact spot on the
wall that you want to hit it and put it there ok the other thing that I want
talk about when you’re passing with yourself is your first touch
ok yes we’re focusing on soccer passing drills but it’s a great opportunity to focus on
improving your first touch so when i receive the ball I’m not just… again I’m
not just making these touches in really thinking about it, where I want the ball to go, think
about the game that he quickly became play again quickly ok so I might really
over-emphasize mytouch at my feet get out of my feet and I can’t play nice
pass out of my feet play nice pass if I’m going into space out of my feet okay but
look at my body positioning I’m not just like up here and letting the ball hit my
foot I get over the ball I’m pushing it there with my touch but also my body is
over the ball and I’m really making sure it goes exactly where I want it to go okay
so when you think about those two things then finally I want to think about your
speed of play ok there’s no one around here there are no
defenders but you need to imagine that there are ok if we’re just
doing simple drillsl it’s received pass receive pass the
passes are sharp and accurate it’s not like…. it’s to casual play like you’re in the heat
of the game yes everything you do is sharp and quick pass received pass receive
fast ok so quick on your feet ok we’re going to go into a couple of
soccer passing drills here and as you can see I’m passing against the wall by myself no
one else is here ok but the wall is one of the best ways to improve skills this guy
is going to pass back to you every time it is your best friend he’s gonna give you
millions of passes in your lifetime if you use it properly all right let’s get into these drill there are so many of you out there
and maybe I’m not talking specifically but If I am you need to be very honest
with yourself you guys are watching these videos but you’re not actually
applying what we’re talking about you’re not actually putting into practice and
you’re sending me messages or you are complaining to your friends and your
family you’re saying I’m put in all this work or I’m following this advice but I’m not getting any
better well the truth is there are millions of
other kids or other players out there in the world who are using this advice
and they are putting it into practice and they are getting better so if you’re not getting
better well maybe you’re not actually doing
what you should be doing ok make sure that you’re actually working to improve your
passing you want to improve your first touch make sure that you
actually practice this thing ok you get your ball leave your house jog to the park with your ball please
don’t get hit by a car look both ways when you cross the street but that’s
what I used to do I would get my ball go for a run dribble the whole way to field
or to the wall wherever you go and then you get here you spend even if you
spent 10 minutes it would make massive difference in improving your skills your first touch
speed of play your confidence on the ball if you wanna stay longer you can practice
other things too as well you’re dribbling shooting all this other stuff
on my channel these other soccer drills I’m giving you guys ok but if you’re really
focused on becoming a better passer and a playmaker someone who doesn’t lose
possession of the ball having a better first touch and better speed of play rhythm
of play, playing with more confidence on the ball get out there and do these soccer passing drills 10
minutes a day spend one minute on each drill and get those thousands of passes in
every day it will go a long way in making you a better player alright guys
thank you so much again for watching this video please like comment share on
social media Facebook Twitter whatever it is you have share with your teammates friends if you
know they want to get better please like comment below if you have
any questions if you have any comment if you have any other tips you want to share with players who
are also trying to improve please comment below thank you once again for watching this
video on soccer passing drills I will talk to you tomorrow

  1. Great video, I found it extremely helpful.

Bytheway, a useful tip to increase your accuracy is to take two cones, or a pair of shoes or any 'two' things, and place them on the wall with a little bit of space in-between them, and focus on hitting that space with the ball continuously. I found this to be very helpful in improving my passing accuracy.

    Thank you Dylan Tooby.

  2. Keep doing These videos, Most of Them made me a better player! Thanks, and please keep it going!- I swear, if i do'nt be a professionel footballplayer..Well, i dont because i know tjat i'm gonna get There !😄

  4. thumbs up!!!! when i was a kid 10-11 yrs i saved up enough money to buy myself a good ball and i would train on the parking outside my parents house everyday. i would train most of the drills in the video, neighbours wd often complain of the noise but kept at it or train mid day when no one is around the estate to bother me. when i would go for the school training/main training i wouldnt carry my ball for fear of spoiling or losing it coz i had used up alot of money i was selfish and am not ashamed of it coz that in itself is the reason i impoved. Till this day my passing accuracy has always been up there with the best in the team. i would like to encourage the kids watching the videos to take active steps to improve their game you shall enjoy the fruits of your labor.

  10. Can you please make a video on how to improve your vision of play. In other words how to improve on seeing a pass quicker without taking a lot of touches on the ball.

  11. my season just ended. I was wondering what I should do during the winter time to become my best, make better decisions on the pitch and get as fast as I can.

  12. Hey man, I started playing soccer at 4 and quit after i graduated high school. Just played my first season of adult soccer this last fall and won the league tourney with my team. 14. Good stuff I will improve in my passing way more 👍 and I do the same thing I jog almost every day 2 miles to get to the field. Thanks for making this video

  15. I am having flash backs to when I was a kid living in a row home in Sweden. Kicking a ball against the wall…that is all i did (no video games at the time). Will put these drills into use tonight w my U10 girls.

    Keep up the good work.

  16. I really liked your videos and I do try to implement in my game.
I wanted to ask that what can I do to increase my Sprint speed.
And aslo curious about the right technique to hit the ball.

  17. Hey @Progressivesoccer, do you have any videos of practices and drills but individual, because i do not have anyone to practice so i already have a training list on my own but i feel that i need more and put more work. thank you.

  18. I have good ball control but I often lose the ball due to weak body balance although my touches are really good

  19. Thank you for your advice and your efforts to make better soccer players. It took me years of wasting time practicing without a real purpose before I learned what you touch on in the video. The tired old saying "practice makes perfect" is terrible. Only perfect practice makes perfect. Thanks again.

  20. If you have a got a lot people to train with (or maybe sugest your coach to use it in training) try and do a lot of rondo's, which means that your group (not to many people in one group as it tends to spoil the quality of the drill) will form a shape that is a bit like a circle and start passing the ball around and try to make through balls, while all keeping in position to improve accuracy for younger players, or try to move around an make the pass go quicker, maybe even try doing some layups and one touch passes. If all of that is working well start to take turns playing defender and try to intercept the ball, this improves both condition for the defender as he is constantly running and improves tactical ability for the passers that will have to be quick in deciding who to pass the ball to.

  21. is there anything i can do if i dont have easy access to a wall. I know i know, it sounds dumb but most of the walls around my house have shrubbery and things around them and there arent and close building that i can really use. Any advice?

Thumbs up!!! Thank you for the advice and video on You Tube.  I've giving my daughter the same advice if she really would like to get better at soccer even if she has no one to practice with but I'm her mom so of course teenagers don't listen.  I looked up videos on YouTube and came across your "Train By Yourself, Soccer Passing Drills" and showed my daughter. She is now motivated and practicing on her own.  Thank you.

  24. I'm so glad I came across this video. I play defensive midfielder and I definitely need to work on my passing, first touch and speed of play. I'm going to start practicing later today! Thanks!

  25. Funny how there are less views on your passing videos.. Makes sense why no one on my team passes 😂😂😂

  26. Wanna ask you something. For example:I basically do your drills and those drills turn into skills in the matches without thinking that I am going to do these today.I just wanted to ask you that will this strategy work everytime?

  27. Dylan, everytime I train alone my speed of play is lot slower then when I am on the match. How should I train alone so that I can benefit from the training while playing the game?

  28. I practice everything dylan but your videos are very helpful and I learned from your videos thank you Dylan tooby I appreciate it.

  29. I read a lot of great reviews on the net about how Eprosoke Training Program can assist you increase your soccer technique. Has anyone tested out this popular training course?

  30. You should practice snapping the ball with your heel instead of kicking the, it's fucking cool, you hardly move your foot and the ball shoots out so quick it skims on top the surface like a skipping rock, SPEED IT UP BRO, OLY O
