[MUSIC] Hey Rebel Nation, I’m Iyanla Kitchens. I’m from Atlanta, Georgia and I am an Ole Miss Rebel. [MUSIC] My first basketball experience would be trying out for the team in middle school. Me P.E. teacher saw I was a tall girl, so it was like, hey you should try out. And I went for it and made it. But of course, it was difficult, I couldn’t even make a layup. There you go, set it, set it. There you go good. My first time meeting Coach Yo was in 2015 and she saw me play, and she liked me and offered me on the spot. I love Coach Yo’s personality, she’s a fun coach. You know, fun to be around. Of course, it’s business on the court, but off the court it’s, you know, all laughs, all smiles. Hey we’re playing at the highest level of competition, baby I need you mentally prepared to do so. I chose Ole Miss because when I came on my visit, I fell in love with the campus, you know, it’s number one most beautiful campus. And I also feel like me and Coach Yo were destined to be. You know, she gave my first offer, and now she’s here at Ole Miss, so of course I will stay because I feel like that’s the coach for me. Good job. Good job. Move them defense out of the way girl. Get on up in there. It’s your house. I would describe my game as very physical in the paint, you know, I rebound, I post up real hard, I could score and I’m learning to work outside of the paint, I’m knocking down shots, you know on the short corner, on the wing. So, yeah I’m learning. [MUSIC]
