WAS THAT A TOUGH CALL TO MAKE?>>WELL, ACTUALLY, IT REALLY WASN’T. WE HAD THE CONVERSATION WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WE STARTED TALKING TO OTHER NEIGHBORING DISTRICTS AND THEN WE MADE THE FINAL CONCLUSION YESTERDAY. THE FORECAST WAS GOING TO CALL FOR A LOT OF RAIN RIGHT AT GAME TIME SO WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE — BEST INTEREST OF OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF AND FANS TO START EARLY.>>I KNOW IN YOUR JOB YOU DO A LOT OF TALKING TO PARENTS, COACHING AND PLAYERS. HOW DO THEY ALL FEEL ABOUT THIS DECISION?>>WE HOPE GOOD. THESE ARE TOUGH DECISIONS. I’VE BEEN A SCHOO ADMINISTRATOR FOR 30 YEARS AND I’VE MADE SOME REALLY GOOD WEATH DECISIONS AND REALLY BAD WEATHER DECISIONS, BUT THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS IS FIRST AND FOREMOST AND WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE GOOD TO GET AN EARLY START. THE OTHER PART IS WE HAVE LOTS OF KIDS TAKING T ACT EXAM TOMORROW MORNING AND IT WILL GET THEM HOME EARLIER AND A LOT OF FOLKS INVOLVED WITH THE PARAD IN OW
