The annual basketball series between the Indigenous All Stars
from Australia and New Zealand Maori is once again
proving to be a thriller. The battle between
the two teams is fierce, gameplay is tough and physical. Both teams were stacked with stars, the mixture meaning games
are coming down to the wire. Tamati Rimene-Sproat reports. A physical and tough battle between the Indigenous Australian
All Stars and the Maori All Stars. It’s a series that has been going
for the last three years. It’s a chance
for the best basketball players to represent their indigenous side
and celebrate their whakapapa. It’s also a strategy
to develop and grow the game among Maori
and indigenous communities. Despite a gutsy win in Rotorua, the Maori fell short in Tauranga meaning the Indigenous All Stars
