Hand Roll Soccer Juggling Pick Up Trick – Online Soccer Academy
ArticlesBlog

What’s going on? Little dap. It’s Jared
Montz former pro and founder of Online Soccer Academy. Today we are learning how to do soccer
juggling. This is what juggling soccer ball looks like. This soccer tricks video is a cool way to
start juggling from the ground and show off tricks of soccer in front of your friends.
You will not do this in the game. And if you did, it’d be a handball! Key Points:
1. Place the ball about a foot away from your non dominant foot. The ball should be in line
with your ankle bone. 2. Your dominant juggling foot should be behind
you a little bit. You don’t want it in the way when you roll the ball. 3. Roll the ball across to your foot with
your hand, don’t push it at your foot. 4. Keep your plant foot firm in the ground.
Do not move it! You want your foot hard like a rock when the ball hits it. Not loose like
Jello. 5. Relax and juggle when the ball pops up!
Don’t rush! If you do this right the ball will pop up and you will have a second or
two to get your juggling foot up and start juggling. Style counts! Exercise Player Can Do:
Start off by practicing this move without the ball. Get use to how your body will feel
doing it. Then once comfortable make it happen with the ball! Repeat until you master it! [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Soccer Skill] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] What Player Could Be Doing Wrong:
If the ball isn’t popping up for you then you are moving your foot to early. Keep your
foot planted firm in the ground. The ball will hit it, your foot will act like a rock
and it will pop up. Also make sure you are hitting the ankle bone area of your foot,
not the toe area. If the ball is rolling to fast then make sure
you are not pushing the ball. So don’t put your hand on the back of the ball and push
it. Put your hand on top the ball and roll it across. Bonus Tip!
Be confident when you do this juggling tricks! Don’t be surprised when juggling skills
work for you! Ending: Hope you enjoyed the cool soccer tricks

  14. Hard for me to say if you can make it or not based on a YT comment. What matters is what you think. Be confident in yourself, have fun, don't put pressure on yourself and continue to improve. Good luck!!

  15. Hey Jared! Quick question. If you play for the ODP level for your state's odp team, does that mean you have enough skill to play for the ivy leagues(which aren't as good as d1, probably around D3 level. The state I'm in is Georgia.

  16. You've asked me this question a few times. It's hard to answer that question. Each coach has different opinions on players. Some Ivy League schools are very good, higher then D3 level. I'd say if you are playing State ODP and on a top club team then you have a shot at D1 soccer. Good luck! For now control what you can control which is playing great, enjoying the process and improving every day.

  17. I know a lot of people tease the person who says, "1st". I'm just saying we should all be nice when we can. I'm not mad at all, just wanted to take this as an example to encourage everyone to be nice.

  18. Hey Jared, I can play good and sometimes even dribble good, but I can't do juggling, for me is so hard to keep the ball, i can do just 5 times… do you think that juggling is important to be a soccer player?

  19. Yes, juggling greatly improves ball control. It's hard in the beginning which makes it frustrating. For juggling, click the "View All OSA Videos" button on your OnlineSoccerAcademy(dot)com profile (it's free, sign up if you are not a member) and then select the "juggling" category; there you will find a lot of videos to help you. Or search my juggling videos on youtube. Be patient, your juggling will improve with practice. Small improvements daily equal big improvements over time.

  20. Thanks for suggesting I do a How to do a Bicycle Kick video. I appreciate it. But unfortunately I will not be making a bicycle kick how to video. I don't want any players getting hurt trying it from my video. My first goal as your coach is to keep you healthy and fit. If you are not fit and injured then you can't play soccer/football and I don't want that! Sorry I can't make this video for you. I hope you understand.

  21. just wanted to say thanks for these videos. They are really helping my son at becoming the best defender he can be. This past weekend we took 1st place! My daughter is 12 and also plays soccer but fear of getting hit in the face with the ball is holding her back when is comes to 50/50 balls or aggressive play. Are there any drills to get her used to contact? Thanks again

  22. Great to hear your son is improving! Tell him I said little dap and I'm proud of him! We have some good defending videos for him. For your daughter… For being more aggressive, click the "View All OSA Videos" button on your Online Soccer Academy profile (it's free, sign up if you are not a member) and then select the "How to be Aggressive in Soccer" video; that will help you. Or search on youtube for my Online Soccer Academy video tilted "How to be a Aggressive in Soccer".

  23. Plus have them both watch – Click the "View All OSA Videos" button on your Online Soccer Academy profile and search for the "How Not to Be Nervous Before a Game" video. That will help a lot! Or search it on youtube. Also watch the "How to be Confident" video. That might help your daughter's mental game as well as improve your son's too.

  24. I was able to learn how to do this with my foot rolling the ball across after learning to do it with my hand, thanks!!
