FOR TOM DICKENS…THIS WAS MUCH MORE THAN JUST A HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME… SUCH A BATTLE THAT SHE HAD TO FIGHT JUST TO GET THROUGH IT, SO IT WAS REALLY DIFFICULT… A GAME HE DROVE THREE HOURS TO SEE…AND NOT JUST TO WATCH HIS NEPHEW PLAY.. BUT IN MEMORY OF THE WOMAN HE LOVED… I LOST MY WIFE TWO YEARS AGO TO BREAST CANCER, AND SHE FOUGHT A SIX YEAR BATTLE WITH BREAST CANCER, SO IT WAS PRETTY DIFFICULT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY INVOLVED. THE SPAULDING HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES — NAT TAKING THE FIELD DECKED OUT IN PINK — TO HELP FIGHT A BATTLE MUCH BIGGER THAN ANY FOOTBALL GAME… FOOTBALL CAPTAIN: M GRANDMOTHER PASSED FROM CANCER EARLY ON IN MY LIFE, SO IT ESPECIALLY MEANS SOMETHING TO ME TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY IN A WAY THAT’S NOT JUST FOOTBALL, BUT BACK TO THE WORLD. UNDER TH BRIGHT LIGHTS, CLASSMATES AND PARENTS FILLED THE STANDS IN THEIR OWN PINK OUTFITS TOO — NAT FR STANDS ITS THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS FROM TICKET FEES AND A SILENT AUCTION — THAT’LL BE DONATED TO THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, AS REACHERS WORK TO FIND A CURE. FOOTBALL COACH: IT’S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW COMMUNITY PRIDE, AND HELP A GREAT CHARITY. A GAME DEDICATED TO FIGHTING AN ILLNESS, THAT’S TOUCHED SO MANY… NAT FROM GAME. AND FOR THOSE BATTLING CANCER NOW — DICKENS WANT THEM TO KNOW, THEY’RE NOT ALONE.. FAMILY, FRIENDS, THERE’S ORGANIZATIONS THAT WILL HELP YOU OUT…AND DON’T TRY TO FIGHT ON YOUR OWN.
