  1. Accident or not , contact is made to the referee regardless to any reason or excuse you can think of !! Could of walked away and hit your helmet but no , come up with some lame excuse referee was in the way ……

  2. Total bullshit…he clocked the ref intentionally.

If it was an accident, why didn't he show any concern for the man who was obviously knocked out?

    Felony assault, conviction, jail.

  3. All of you freaking idiots who thinks that the kid hit the official need to have your eyes checked. He slapped his own helmet and in the process of doing so his elbow hit the referees cap and knocked it off of his head and the referee subsequently went into his theatrics. I am an official and one thing that we are taught is to NOT get physical with the players as this official did. The contact with the official was not intentional and I can accept the kid getting a one game suspension but arrested, total BS. BTW Mike Zepeda is a total idiot with his dumb a$$ comments. He's surely trying to make a name for himself at anyone else's expense. Take a closer look at the video you dummy.

  4. Doesn't look like an accident to me. Not once did he do anything to help the ref or act remorseful in any way. Not to mention, if he needs to "often times hit his own helmet to calm himself down", then it sounds like he has temper issues in the first place. I don't buy it.

  5. he hit himself in the helmet..very unfortunate for this young man.i can seenit clearly in video.its unreal how stupid people are to think he punched the ref

  6. If I punched someone in the head unintentionally (if that's even possible) I would go right over to them and help them, which is not what this kid did. Every now and then, you see a guy accidentally hit a ref in the NFL or NBA and you can see their reaction and how it was an accident. This was not an accident.

  7. Coward sucker punches older defenseless man. He’s gutless. Maybe his CTE got the best of him. I guess punching himself in the head soothes the screaming beast inside his head. I’m happy police arrested the jerk. Football is dumb , dumb, dumb.

  8. Way to go, guys. Ask a math club dork, who's never played a competitive sport, what he thinks about the incident. OK, fine, he ran cross country. But he has no idea what it's like to play football.
