Okay, let’s go! let’s go! let’s go! You guys ready for a good game today?
Yea! Alright. You all warmed up?
Yea! Next. That’s a nice goal! Here in Olympia, we’ve been looking at how competition
impacts youth and it’s usually kind of negative especially if you’re on the losing team.
So last year we took away the notion of scoring which meant there were no winners and there were no losers
but in many ways we felt like it just didn’t go far enough so we’ve actually taken away the ball. Throw in! Here we go. Throw in!
Who’s got it? Who’s got it? Coaching ball-less soccer is very
difficult from my perspective because I have to do a lot of imagining. I’ve got the ball here it comes, ready?
Here you go, you go first. Here we go. Sinclair. Stephanie. Anna. Alright let’s get this going.
There ya are. I got it. Good. Any coach can coach a kid on
soccer skills and having fun out there but the real challenge of my job
as a coach in ball-less soccer but the real challenge of my job
as a coach in ball-less soccer
is trying to keep track of where the ball is
and coach the kids is trying to keep track of where the ball is
and coach the kids on how do you keep track of the ball
and where is the ball. Kevin, what’s going on?
You look confused. I dont know where the ball is. We’ve been over this. Melissa obviously has the ball. Lookit, remember what I said?
If you see it here, you’ll see it there. Right? Lookit, remember what I said?
If you see it here, you’ll see it there. Right?
See it here, you’ll see it there.
And there’s the ball right there. See it here, you’ll see it there.
And there’s the ball right there. You got this?
Go get the ball Kev. (whistle) Let’s go! Let’s go!
Back at it! Hey! Whoa! (whistle)
You saw that, right? Yea, I saw it. There you go! You saw that!
Yea! Here we go! He saw it guys! So you have to walk a pretty fine line
when it comes to scoring because whether it’s a goal or not
is really open to interpretation but ultimately it’s up to me.
I have the final say. (whistle)
Did you save that? Yea! Okay, did you save that? Yea. You can’t save it every time. Yes I can! Did you save it? No. Okay, goal! That’s a goal you guys, thats a goal. Nice goal, let’s get that ball! Let’s get that ball. My daughter’s really not an athletic kid she’s been playing with the Wildcats since
she was little and she could never score goals it was really hard for her but now
she comes home she’s very excited “mommy, mommy I scored seven goals!”
and nobody can say that she didn’t. (whistle)
Okay hold on, hold on, hold on. Show of hands, who thinks they have the ball? Okay guys you can’t all have the ball! You know, it’s fun seeing those
kids out there having a good time but ultimately I do miss soccer with a ball. but ultimately I do miss soccer with a ball.
I prefer that sometimes over being the imagination captain. I prefer that sometimes over being the imagination captain. There it is! (whistle) Alright. Good game you guys! Twenty five to twenty five. Everyone wins. Everyone wins again. (applause)

  5. This is literally the biggest joke on the face of the flipping earth!!!! Not to mention a HUGE disgrace to all athletes. It takes the WHOLE point away from the sports they are messing up.

  6. Give an imaginary hammer to a kid to learn how to hammer a nail? Life skills have to be taught only with the real thing. Anything less and you're cheating your children and their future.

  7. Ball-less soccer. I could not resist the face palm on that one. Ball-less is right.
25 to 25, what a waist of time. Just like Sisyphus rolling the ball uphill… Ha ha, SISYphus

  8. its this kind of left wing liberal crap that leaves these kids without any preparation for the real world. This is such BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They truly become woosies!!!!!!

  9. I bet they made that up because they lose every match 100:0. I meen who TF wants to play ball less football. thats just sad. WTF

  11. Wait a couple years people will be doing arm less arm wrestling and playing Rock Paper Scissors to see what team won the game

  12. hey schools to competitive I never got A's and it always really stressed me out so i think that we should just take away all the pens and papers and every one passes and gets A's so that it doesn't effect me negatively because its just too competitive

  13. I went out of my way to create a YouTube account so I could comment on how ridiculously pathetic and stupid everything about this is.

  14. Like the public school system today — no up or down, right or wrong. It's all up to interpretation (unless you are a Christian conservative).

  15. For the minimal time I assumed this was real(post on my Facebook timeline presented it as such), I was actually impressed with the kids' footwork lol. Like dang, they took the ball away from actual soccer players. Aren't they pissed??? Hahaha

  16. 'ball less" soccer..   it would be easier to keep track of the ball if there was one..  I am in disbelief..  give those kids dodge balls and throw them at each other to toughen them up!!!!!!!

  17. I saw this in a thumbnail on Facebook with no indication that it was parody. It had me going until they called him a "ball-less soccer coach". XD

  18. This is a joke. These people are a joke. What snowflakes. They need to learn that there are winners in life and losers

  19. Is this real???
These are the kids that will shoot up a school because they can't manage emotions… disconnected from reality. 😞

  20. I remeber at one of my games there was this kid with a karen for a mom and he got the ball stolen from him and his mom tried to talk to the referee to make the kid apoligize
